Test Weight: Test Weight reflects volume of starch needed to produce an equivalent amount of ethanol. Lower TW requires more corn to produce equivalent amount of ethanol. 54# test weight no discount.
Total Damage: Damage reflects structural changes inside kernel reducing amount of Fermentable starch available. 5.0% damage no discount
Heat Damage: Heat Damage reflects structural change inside kernel reducing starch and discoloring DDGS byproduct. Heat damaged kernels have no ethanol value. 0.2% heat damage no discount
BCFM: 3.0% BCFM no discount
Musty: Subject to rejection. If accepted $0.05 per bushel discount Sour: Subject to rejection. If accepted $0.10 per bushel discount Insects/Weevils: Subject to rejection. If accepted $0.05 per bushel discount Heating: From corn going out of condition or from not cooling corn from the dryer. Subject to rejection. If accepted, $0.10 per bushel discount. COFO: Commercially Objectionable Foreign Odor. Odor indicates the presence of potential chemical or foreign micro-organism in the corn that might affect process. This includes fumigated corn. (No pellets or residue.) Subject to rejection. If accepted, $0.10 per bushel discount. Toxins: Aflatoxin and other toxins in corn will be subject to rejection. Specialty: High oil, waxy, etc. might be rejected in the starch content is too low. Treated Seed: Will be rejected. If treated seed is not found in the sample but found during unloading, the liability cost incurred in contaminating our plant will revert to the owner of the grain, the loader of the grain, and the shipper of the grain. Other: Rodent or bird contamination, stones, glass or other commercially undesirable foreign matter will be subject to rejection.
